Good to Know

Application Logistics

CGCC's current new-student page says everyone is accepted; applicants complete the Maricopa admissions application, submit identification, monitor Maricopa email, complete placement and advising steps, and register for classes.

The Dance program lists admission as the first step and says semester and flex-start classes are available online, in person, and in hybrid formats.

Enrollment

Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete courses at more than one college.

Dance program contact: Micaela Church, Residential Faculty, 480-732-7136, micaela.church@cgc.edu.

Transfer Pathway

This is a transfer pathway degree built to transfer into a four-year program. Confirm which universities it articulates to, and which credits carry over, before you enroll.

What's The Process

Audition Process

The AAFA Dance program and catalog pages describe the degree and regular CGCC enrollment path; they do not publish a program-level admission audition, prescreen, or interview.

Audition Expectations

The dance catalog says enrollment in some DAN courses may require an audition and/or permission of the instructor. This course-level condition is not modeled as a program admission gate.
