•Central Arizona College’s Fine Arts – Music AA combines music history, theory, and performance classes in a transfer-oriented associate degree.
•Every music student takes piano class, private lessons, and music theory, building practical musicianship across the pathway.
Performance & Productions
•Students can participate in Choir, band, orchestra, handbells, and guitar ensembles.
•CAC encourages individual and small-group recitals, master classes, and guest lectures, giving students recurring opportunities to perform and learn from visiting artists.
Degree Flexibility
•The Music Emphasis is one of the Fine Arts AA’s two emphasis options, alongside Studio Art. The 60-credit degree is designed for transfer into BA, BFA, or Bachelor of Teaching fine-arts programs.
•CAC identifies possible continuation in music education, music performance, music theory, music therapy, ethnomusicology, and composition. Its catalog map also includes four integrated music theory courses, recurring piano class, private instruction, and electives from music fundamentals and campus ensembles.
