PROGRAM RECOGNITION
•Part of Catawba's Shuford School of Performing Arts, with a theatre tradition dating to the 1920s
•Students compete at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) Region IV Conference as performers, designers, playwrights, and directors
TRAINING
•Open-access curriculum — BA students can take courses across all theatre disciplines (acting, design, directing, stagecraft) without BFA gatekeeping
•No audition required for admission; audition only needed for scholarship consideration
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
•Internships at Williamstown Theatre Festival, American Shakespeare Center, and Interlochen Center for the Arts
•CataLST semester-long internship with Lee Street Theatre in Salisbury provides professional production and performance credits
•Active alumni network through The Blue Masque organization and annual Hall of Fame events
STUDY ABROAD
•Theatre-focused study abroad in the U.K., Italy, Costa Rica, Greece, Germany, Japan, and Estonia
