Application Logistics

Apply directly through Casper College's online application

The Music Activity Scholarship form is department-wide for music and nonmusic majors and does not publish separate audition requirements by emphasis

The form asks applicants to identify their associate-degree interest and primary instrument or voice range

Listed interest choices are Music, Music Education, Instrumental Music Performance, Vocal Music Performance, and Other

Scholarship recipients participate in the major ensemble for their declared field, a second faculty-designated ensemble, and applied music each semester

Transfer Pathway

This is a transfer pathway degree built to transfer into a four-year program. Confirm which universities it articulates to, and which credits carry over, before you enroll.

What's The Process

Audition Process

No audition is required for admission; the Music Activity Scholarship application is a separate process

Music faculty review scholarship applications after November 15 and February 15

Early-consideration decisions are expected before December 1, with standard decisions before March 1

Students must be accepted to Casper College before a scholarship offer can be extended

Audition Expectations

A recorded audition is strongly preferred

If recording is not possible, an in-person audition may be scheduled with the instructor

The scholarship application is not complete without an uploaded video recording

Music Activity Scholarship

The 2027-2028 department form accepts applications from music and nonmusic majors

Beginning freshmen need a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.0; continuing and transfer students need a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0

Applicants provide a music-teacher endorsement and a recorded audition

Recipients enroll full time, maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA, participate in two assigned ensembles, and study applied music each semester

Students reapply annually and may receive the activity scholarship for up to six semesters
