Two Contrasting Monologues
•Bullet: Prepare two memorized, contrasting monologues
•Bullet: Each monologue should be no less than 1 minute and no more than 2 minutes
•Bullet: Pieces must come from published plays
•Bullet: Do not use your own writing, movies, TV, forensics or speech tournament pieces, or undocumented internet sources
•Bullet: Additional monologues may be requested
Performance Tips
•Bullet: State your name and the titles of your two pieces
•Bullet: Perform facing straight ahead with a focus point just over the heads of the audience
•Bullet: Select pieces close to your age range and physical type
•Bullet: Avoid dialects, pantomime, and props
