Audition Process
•Two-step process: first apply and be admitted to Capital University, then submit an audition application
•After academic admission, register for an audition date via the reply form on your Capital status page
•Audition is in-person on campus with instrumental faculty
•No audition fee
•A faculty interview is included to discuss your interest in teaching and your goals as a music educator
•International students unable to attend in person may contact Ishan Thapa at ithapa@capital.edu for remote options
•Remote auditions are recorded and uploaded as an unlisted YouTube link on your Capital status page
Audition Expectations
•Plan to arrive for registration between 8:30 and 9:00 AM
•Allow up to 30 minutes for the audition experience
•Opportunities for campus tours, a student panel, and lunch are also available
•Dress nicely and professionally
•Parking pass and campus map emailed approximately 2 weeks prior
