Audition Process

Admission to the BME program requires an entrance audition

Calvin's 2026–2027 catalog does not publish entrance-audition repertoire, format, or timing; applicants should request current instructions from Calvin Music

The entrance audition is distinct from the recorded performance audition used for optional music-scholarship consideration

Audition Expectations

The 2026–2027 catalog lists a music theory test as a BME admission requirement

The theory test is waived for students with qualifying transfer credit or a score of 4 or higher on the AP Music Theory exam
