•Seven semesters of private study in a principal area and seven semesters of ensemble work build performance depth; students also complete a half recital

Professional Development
•Future teachers study general music, choral and instrumental methods, string, brass, percussion, and woodwind methods, inclusive teaching, curriculum, literacy, and philosophy of education
•Guided teaching experiences lead to a full-semester student-teaching assignment, preparing graduates for PK–12 classrooms and for instrumental or choral program leadership
