Requirements
•Two memorized songs, contrasting styles and tempi
•BM Classical: at least one song must be from the classical repertoire
-Pre-1980 musical theatre is acceptable for the second selection
•BM Commercial: two contrasting selections from classical, musical theatre, jazz, folk, or pop repertoire
Mariachi Track
•Three songs, preferably memorized: one bolero, one fast-tempo ranchera, one slower ranchera
•Must also meet Commercial Voice requirements above
•All Mariachi vocalists must also play an instrument (violin, trumpet, guitar/vihuela, guitarron, or harp)

Accompaniment
•Must provide sheet music for the accompanist in the correct key or a background track
•Sheet music and background tracks must be emailed to dpuentes@cpp.edu by January 15
Evaluation Criteria
•Expected to demonstrate vocal performance potential through tone quality, clear diction, rhythmic aptitude, and ability to communicate emotion
