Repertoire
•Bullet: Classical repertoire on your primary instrument
•Bullet: Brass & Woodwinds: one faster movement or etude (rhythmic/technical) and one slower movement or etude (lyrical); these may be movements or large sections from the same work
•Bullet: Strings (Violin/Viola/Cello): two contrasting pieces or movements of your choosing
•Bullet: Bass: a concerto movement, a Baroque sonata movement or Bach solo suite movement, and an etude
•Bullet: Guitar: 2-3 selections of contrasting styles
•Bullet: Harp: a solo piece, the cadenza from Tchaikovsky's "Waltz of the Flowers" (Nutcracker), one movement from Mozart's Concerto for Flute and Harp, Debussy's Danse Sacrée et Danse Profane, or Handel's Concerto in B-flat, and two contrasting pieces or movements
•Bullet: Percussion: snare drum solo/etude, marimba (and/or vibraphone/xylophone) solo, timpani solo/etude, optional drum set solo or style demonstration
Scales & Technique
•Bullet: Brass & Woodwinds: all major scales and a full-range chromatic scale, tongued and slurred (prepare all; the committee will ask for specific scales)
•Bullet: Brass & Woodwinds: you will be asked to sight-read
•Bullet: Strings, bass, guitar and harp: you may be asked to sight-read
