Portfolio Review & Interview
•20-minute interview with Music Composition faculty
•Submit a portfolio of original works (scores and recordings) via the JCA Music Supplement
Live Audition
•A classical performance audition on your primary instrument or voice is also part of the process
•Piano applicants: two solos from two different historical style periods; sight-reading included
•Voice applicants: pre-screen video required, then two contrasting classical art songs and/or arias, memorized
•Keyboard placement assessment and a musicianship placement exercise on audition day — for course placement only, not part of the admission decision
•Virtual auditions available on request via Zoom
