•UB’s five-year combined program joins advanced performance study with an Education master’s and culminates in both New York State initial and professional certification in music education
•Students begin through the MusB Performance major, then integrate the UB Teach framework and graduate education work without separating performer development from teacher preparation

•Modern pedagogy, educational theory, hands-on coursework and student teaching build classroom readiness across the K–12 music setting
•The sequence is designed to move from applied musicianship into supervised practice and professional certification within five years
Performance & Productions
•Music study includes individual work, ensembles and a department presenting more than 150 free concerts annually
•Lippes Concert Hall and the Sound Recording and Production spaces support live performance, recording, electronic music and multimedia projects
