Training
•The minor pairs another major with creative production, critical interpretation and technical experience in film, digital media and interactive design
•Students examine how media shapes culture and communication while learning to make and evaluate media, building visual communication and technology-aware analysis without completing the full BA
Professional Development
•Upper-level choices can extend into film and video, digital media, games and interactive systems, letting students emphasize production, cultural analysis or a deliberate mix
•The minor is designed as an add-on for students across the College of Arts and Sciences and other UB fields, so media methods can support work in communication, education, technology or cultural organizations
Facilities
•Students can use Media Study’s green-screen studio, industry-software computer labs, production equipment and 200-plus-seat HD auditorium, with screenings, public events and student clubs extending the classroom
