•Bullet: The BFA combines sustained study in modern, ballet, tap and jazz with choreography, improvisation, pedagogy, somatic practice, Laban Movement Analysis, dance kinesiology, history and criticism
•Bullet: Students can extend technique into musical-theatre dance, social dance and comparative jazz styles while working in a department that treats performance and teaching as connected practices
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Zodiaque Dance Company is UB’s pre-professional student company and presents two fully produced Center for the Arts concerts each year, plus selected appearances at Buffalo venues such as Kleinhans Music Hall and the Botanical Gardens
•Bullet: ChoreoLab supports choreographic research, while the Emerging Choreographers Showcase and student-directed Dancers Workshop put student work before audiences
Facilities
•Bullet: Center for the Arts dance studios have Marley floors, individual sound systems and 18-foot mirrors; major productions use the 388-seat Drama Theatre
