Training
•Bullet: The BA builds technique in modern, ballet, tap and jazz alongside choreography, improvisation, pedagogy, somatic practice, Laban Movement Analysis, history, criticism and dance kinesiology
•Bullet: Its liberal-arts structure leaves room to connect dance with fields across a major research university, while musical-theatre dance, social dance and comparative jazz courses broaden the movement vocabulary
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: BA dancers can perform with the pre-professional Zodiaque Dance Company, which mounts two fully produced Center for the Arts concerts each year and has appeared at Kleinhans Music Hall and the Buffalo Botanical Gardens
•Bullet: ChoreoLab, the Emerging Choreographers Showcase and student-directed Dancers Workshop create separate settings for research, mentored choreography and student-produced performance
Facilities
•Bullet: Dedicated Center for the Arts studios use Marley floors, independent sound systems and 18-foot mirrors, with productions also staged in the 388-seat Drama Theatre
