THREE CONTRASTING SOLO SELECTIONS — VOCALISTS
•Performed from memory
•Contrasting in style and tempo
•For voice with piano accompaniment
REPERTOIRE
•From standard art song, folk song, opera, oratorio, musical theatre, and/or commercial repertoire
•Underrepresented composers or non-Western traditions welcomed
•Highlight technical proficiency and use of expression
OTHER INSTRUMENTS
•Requirements vary by instrument — see department website for non-voice audition materials
Additional Materials
ACCOMPANIMENT MUSIC — VOCALISTS
•Required — provide copies of audition music requiring an accompanist at least 2 weeks in advance

•Required — complete the online form on the department website
•Submit at least 2 weeks before requested audition date

AUDITION FORMAT
•In-person audition and interview with music faculty on Bucknell campus
•All music degree applicants must audition for acceptance
•Audition also serves as Arts Merit Scholarship consideration
EARLY DECISION
•Schedule a weekday audition between Oct. 1 and Nov. 1

REGULAR DECISION
•Invitations offered after academic pre-screening by Office of Admissions
•Choose from set in-person audition dates
•Music Audition Form must be submitted between Sept. 1 and Jan. 10
Scholarship Info
ARTS MERIT SCHOLARSHIP
•$2,500 to $20,000 annually, renewable
•Financial need is not a requirement
•All music major auditioners automatically considered
•Recipients must maintain 3.0 music GPA and 2.5 overall GPA
•Must participate in assigned ensembles
