•Harp students receive individualized instruction from BU School of Music faculty within an intensive BM that integrates applied lessons, ensembles, theory, musicology, and University Hub study
•A 3:1 School of Music faculty-student ratio, 119 soundproof practice rooms, and faculty that includes Boston Symphony Orchestra musicians support sustained technical and artistic development
Performance & Productions
•The Harp entrance repertoire begins with Orchestral excerpts
•Applicants also prepare Two contrasting solo works, one of which should be an original composition for harp (the other work may be a transcription); One étude
•After admission, ensemble and solo work lead to performances across BU and Boston, including School of Music signature concerts at Symphony Hall and Carnegie Hall
Professional Development
•Students may study at London's Royal College of Music, add academic majors or minors, and pursue the internal BM Performance/MM Music Education 4+1 option after matriculation
