•Students shape an individualized course of study and may focus deeply in one or two theatre disciplines while continuing ensemble-based performance work
Performance & Productions
•Students may enter the casting pool as actors or propose alternative projects as assistant directors, dramaturgs, playwrights, and other collaborative artists
•Faculty-mentored artistic projects and new-work collaborations support multidisciplinary practice
•Eligible students may pursue BU's internal Musical Theatre Concentration beginning after matriculation
Professional Development
•A supervised off-campus arts internship or approved BU internship is required in the summer before the final year, followed by an Internship Reflection course
•Third-year study-abroad opportunities and the School of Theatre Showcase in Boston and/or New York connect students with the wider profession
