Training
•Choral track preparing students to teach and conduct choir in K-12 schools
•Conducting, rehearsal technique, and ensemble-leadership coursework
•Required ensemble participation every semester; a full semester of student teaching serves as the capstone
Performance & Productions
•Sing in named choirs including Collegiate Singers (40-50 select singer/musicians), the 70+ voice auditioned Concert Choir, and the no-audition University Choir
•BYU-Idaho choirs have appeared on Music and the Spoken Word, at General Conference, at ACDA conferences, and on national and international tours
Professional Development
•Field placements teaching in local schools throughout the program before the student-teaching capstone
