Audition Requirements
Songs
TWO CONTRASTING SELECTIONS, up to 32 bars / 45-60 sec each
•Musical theatre or pop repertoire that contrasts in style and decade of composition
•Bring sheet music for the accompanist
•Have the full version of your audition songs as well as any other performance-ready musical theatre or pop repertoire
Monologues
ONE MONOLOGUE, 45-60 sec
•From a play — not from monologue books
Dance
DANCE CALL (group format, approximately one hour)
•Quick warm-up, technique across the floor combinations, a ballet portion, and a jazz/MT combination
•No prior dance experience is necessary
•Wear shoes you can dance in and clothes you can move in
Good to Know
UNIFIED AUDITIONS & CONFERENCES
•Faculty may be found at SETC, Pittsburgh Unified, ThesCon Georgia, and Georgia Theatre Conference
ELIGIBILITY
•Must complete audition form and attend an audition to be considered for acceptance into the program

AUDITION DATES:
•Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Brenau University's John S. Burd Center
•Saturday, April 18, 2026 at UNG-Gainesville's Performing Arts Building
AUDITION FORMAT:
•In-person auditions preferred at on-campus events
•Virtual auditions available via Zoom by emailing Pamela Workman at pworkman@brenau.edu
•Auditions may include questions about professional goals and why you want to study at Brenau
