Training
•The General Track is the default BA Music path — no audition, portfolio, or composition submission is required to enter it
•Core coursework is MUS 3b Global Soundscapes, MUS 136a Critical Listening, two consecutive semesters of the MUS 101a/101b theory sequence with their MUS 102a/102b labs, and MUS 161b Advanced Seminar
•General Track students add four electives and are the only track with no required capstone project
Performance & Productions
•Four semesters of departmental ensemble (MUS 80-89, MUS 116) are required of every music major, so General Track students perform throughout the degree without a track recital
•The Leonard Bernstein Scholars Program is open to majors on any track and adds free private lessons, faculty chamber coaching, and mentorship
Facilities
•Slosberg Music Center houses an electro-acoustic studio, 30 pianos, historical instruments, and a 200-seat recital hall
