Application Logistics
•Apply to Bradley University via Common App or the Bradley website
•No separate department application or audition portal
•Schedule the music audition directly with the Department of Music chair
Placement
•Admitted students take proficiency examinations in theory, ear-training and sight-singing, and history at orientation — for course placement only, not admission
Program Requirements
•All music majors participate in an assigned concert band, choir, or orchestra each semester
•Recital Lab (MUS 001) required each semester of residence
•Sophomore review held during the spring of sophomore year
•Maintain a 2.5 GPA in music courses to achieve advanced standing
•An additional fee is charged for private lessons (includes practice room use)
•Music Education students are advised in both the Department of Music and the Department of Education
•The degree leads to a K-12 teacher license (requires the licensure coursework)
