Training
•The 122-credit BM Harp Performance degree combines weekly private instruction with harp pedagogy, orchestral excerpts, performance seminar, theory, history, harmonization, improvisation, and sight-reading
•Students complete six instrumental-ensemble credits, six chamber-music credits, and two degree recitals
•Upper-level electives at the Conservatory and Berklee include career skills, Alexander Technique, arts journalism, and nonverbal communication
Performance & Productions
•Harpists perform as soloists and ensemble musicians at the Conservatory and with Greater Boston groups
•Students may participate in GentleMUSES, a partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital that brings therapeutic harp performance to the Cancer Center and pediatric and neonatal intensive-care units
Professional Development
•Faculty emphasize personalized technical development and individual artistry across standard and contemporary repertoire
•Students coordinate recital programs with fellow instrumentalists and vocalists, building practical production and collaboration experience
