•Bullet: Two technique classes (75-minute jazz dance class and 45-minute freestyle class)
•Bullet: Solo performance: 90 seconds in length, any style (circus skills, hip-hop, tap, jazz, etc.)
•Bullet: Applicants must provide accompaniment for solos (CDs and MP3 players acceptable)
•Bullet: Brief conversation with faculty following solo
Attire — Jazz Class
•Bullet: Leotard or tight-fitted tank
•Bullet: Tights or biker shorts (tight pants or nonrestrictive shorts)
•Bullet: Jazz shoes, character shoes, or heels
Attire — Freestyle Class
•Bullet: Leotard, tight-fitted tank, or nonrestrictive shirt
•Bullet: Non-restrictive pants or tights
•Bullet: Sneakers, jazz shoes, or heels
Online
•Bullet: Pre-recorded material must be submitted 48 hours in advance of the live online audition
•Bullet: Jazz/Hip-Hop requirements for pre-recorded material:
•Bullet: Pirouettes en dehors and en dedans (parallel and turned-out)
•Bullet: Short phrase including: développé to the side (tilt); layout (any direction); arabesque
•Bullet: Across the floor traveling phrase with jumps and leaps
•Bullet: Optional solo: tap/heels/other styles (90 seconds)
•Bullet: Optional materials: Students may submit other materials in any style, including ballet and modern
