•Liberal arts BA balancing theatre scholarship with hands-on practice
•Curriculum spans acting, directing, playwriting, design, dramatic literature, and theatre history
•Philosophy of developing "three-dimensional theatre students" with skills across all disciplines
•No prior theatre experience required to major or participate in productions
PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
•Six department productions per year — four faculty/guest-directed mainstage shows and two student-directed workshops
•Robsham Theater Arts Center features a 591-seat proscenium mainstage and the 150-seat Bonn Studio black box
•Student-run groups (Dramatics Society, Contemporary Theatre, Musical Theatre Wing) stage 4-6 additional productions annually
•Casting is open to all BC students, majors and non-majors alike
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
•Over half of theatre majors pursue a double major in fields like English, Political Science, Business, or Education
•Undergraduate-only department — no graduate students competing for roles or design positions
•Student directing, original playwriting ("New Voices" festival), stage management, and design opportunities
•Biennial festival of original student-written plays

•Contemporary Theatre and Drama in London course exploring West End and fringe theatre
