Audition Expectations
•Two-step admission: apply to Boise State, then audition for the Department of Music
•Perform a live audition on your principal instrument or voice — prepare the published repertoire for your area (woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings, piano, or vocal)
•Auditions held on campus in the Morrison Center, or by video submission with a follow-up Zoom meeting with area faculty
•On-campus Audition Days include a welcome event, the Music Literacy Predictive Exam (MLPE), audition, and a campus tour
•Video option: submit a recording, then meet area faculty over Zoom
