Admission Process
•Bullet: Apply to Boise State University, then complete an admissions interview with music faculty
•Bullet: No instrumental or vocal audition is required for admission to the BA in Music
•Bullet: Students who pass the interview and complete the Music Literacy Predictive Exam (MLPE) are admitted as BA in Music majors
•Bullet: You do not need to play an instrument, sing, or read music to enter the program
Private Lessons (Optional)
•Bullet: BA students who want to take private lessons or join a department area must also prepare a performance audition on their instrument or voice
•Bullet: A performing focus on jazz or commercial music is available via audition
Format
•Bullet: In-person and Zoom interviews offered
•Bullet: On-campus Audition Days or video submission with a follow-up Zoom meeting
