Repertoire
•Audition on your primary area of emphasis (any instrument, voice, or composition)
•Brass/winds: two contrasting pieces from the standard solo literature (one lyrical, one technical)
•Piano: choose and memorize three of — a Baroque, a Romantic, an Impressionistic/Contemporary composition, or a Haydn/Mozart/Beethoven sonata-allegro movement
•Organ: one each of a Baroque, Romantic, and Contemporary composition (up to two may be played on piano)
•Strings/guitar/harp/percussion: same area repertoire as the B.M. Music Performance audition for your instrument
•Voice: two contrasting classical art songs (one may be an aria from opera or oratorio) in any language, memorized
•Composition emphasis: present scores and recordings for a faculty interview (no instrument audition required for the B.A.; an instrument audition is optional for additional scholarship or ensemble placement)
Sight-Reading
•Sight-reading, scales, and arpeggios may be requested depending on the instrument
Resume
•Performance resume listing training and experience
Accompaniment
•An accompanist is provided for vocalists
