Service-playing and organ study use Trinity Chapel's Dobson 20-stop pipe organ — installed in 1979, featured on Minnesota Public Radio, and used for professional recordings — plus the smaller 4-stop Dobson portative organ for choral accompaniment and additional Casavant and Moller organs in the Ylvisaker Fine Arts Center

Admission Pathway

No separate Music-major admission audition or interview is published

Students enter the Music major after the third semester by earning at least a 2.8 GPA in first- and second-year music coursework and completing three semesters of ensemble and applied-music study

Transfer Pathway

TRANSFER PATHWAY • An Associate of Arts degree satisfies Bethany's general-education requirements except religion; the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum may satisfy up to 90% of general education. BA Music transfer students can then focus on remaining major requirements.

Music Talent Scholarships

Bethany offers three music talent scholarships — Music, Jenson Memorial, and Private Lesson — open to music majors and non-majors across the college's eight ensembles

Jenson Memorial is for advanced music students, with priority given to those interested in church music; Private Lesson covers the majority of lesson fees for piano, organ, voice, string, woodwind, brass, and percussion

The talent scholarship priority application deadline is November 25, with the application closing January 31
