Training
•The six-course minor balances three lecture or seminar courses with three studio or praxis courses
•Students build a focused program across theatre history, criticism, performance, design, directing, playwriting, dramaturgy, and production practice
Academic Context
•The minor is housed in Barnard’s Theatre department and draws on the shared Barnard–Columbia theatre curriculum
•Production participation and department auditions are available after enrollment but are not required for admission to the minor
