•The 16-credit minor builds a foundation in music history, Music and Society, music theory, and ear training
•Students complete two upper-level music electives, with the option to count up to three credits of ensembles or vocal/instrumental lessons

•The minor gives students in other majors a structured path through Barnard and Columbia music coursework
•Performance participation can complement the academic core without becoming an admission requirement
