•The 40-point standard major includes four semesters each of music theory and ear training, two Western music history courses, Music and Society, and upper-level electives
•Electives may emphasize theory, history, composition, or ethnomusicology within a broad liberal-arts curriculum
Professional Development
•Every student completes a senior seminar and an individual senior project
•The capstone may take the form of an expanded research paper, an original composition, or a recital
