Training
•The 17-credit interdisciplinary Music Theatre minor combines four credits of applied voice with Music Theatre Workshop, Acting I, Voice and Movement, and Stage Performance.
•Students choose either History of Western Music from 1750 to the present or History and Literature of Theatre, connecting performance with repertory context.
Performance
•Music Theatre Workshop prepares and performs scenes from opera and musical-theatre literature and may mount a major musical or operatic production with both cast and pit musicians.
•This minor is designed for students outside the Music and Theatre majors, giving them a structured bridge across voice, acting, movement and production performance.
