Training
•Instrumental students complete applied music, Music Theory I-IV, Sight-Singing/Ear Training I-IV, piano class, and ensemble work.
•The current plan routes brass, woodwind, percussion, and string students through instrumental ensembles, with guitar students in guitar or instrumental ensemble.
•Students should consult Music advisors so ensemble placement matches their principal instrument.
Transfer Pathway
•The Instrumental concentration sits inside ACC's Music Field of Study curriculum, a 31-credit lower-division sequence approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
•The AA pathway is designed for transfer toward a bachelor's degree with a major in Music at Texas public colleges and universities.
