What's The Process

Audition Process

•Audition required for admission to the BM in Performance

•In-person or video submission accepted

•Reviewed by a committee of applied faculty

•Gateway audition during sophomore year required to remain in the BM program

•Must maintain a grade of B or higher in applied lessons (MUSL)

•Progress in ensemble participation, coursework, and performance evaluated annually

Alternative Entry

•Current Augustana students may apply to transfer into the BM program

•Requires at least one semester and minimum 2.5 GPA in music coursework

•Internal audition before faculty jury with two contrasting selections and written statement of intent

Scholarship Info

Scholarship Tiers

•Pro-Musica: up to $8,000/year (audition required)

•Studio: up to $5,000/year (audition required)

•Music Honors: $4,000/year (All-State/honors participants)

•Ensemble: $1,000/year (ensemble placement audition)

•Bach Collegium: $9,000/year (requires Band or Choir participation)

•Viking Marching Band: $4,000/year (no audition, stackable)

Requirements

•Recipients must participate in a musical ensemble each semester

•Private lesson enrollment required (varies by tier)
