Repertoire
•Piano: two contrasting selections from the standard classical repertoire
•Brass, woodwinds, or strings: a solo, etude, or piece that highlights tone, technique, and musicality (accompaniment preferred but not required)
•Percussion: two solo works on melodic and non-melodic instruments
•Other genres (jazz, pop, rock): one or more performances reflecting your strengths, such as jazz improvisation, original works, or fully produced recordings — at least one complete piece
Accompaniment
•A staff accompanist may be available; pre-recorded accompaniment tracks are also accepted
•Percussionists with questions about instrument access should contact the Director of Percussion Studies
Format
•Successful auditions typically present complete works lasting 3-5 minutes
•Audition in person (held in February) or submit an online video
