Requirements

•Two Contrasting Contemporary MONOLOGUES, ~2 min each

•From a published stage play and/or screenplay

•Must have read the full play/screenplay in its entirety

•Monologues should contrast in tone and style

Application Logistics

•Apply through Atlantic Acting School's online application

•Complete all required materials before Atlantic will schedule the audition/interview

•Application deadline: April 15, 2026

Enrollment

•Fall-only entry for the two-year conservatory

•Deferrals are granted at the discretion of the Office of Admissions

•Admission offers do not hold a seat until the non-refundable deposit is received

•FAFSA eligible for the two-year Certificate Program: Acting using school code 042903

•F-1 visa support is available for accepted students in this full-time certificate program

What's The Process

Audition Process

•Submit complete application with all required materials

•Selected applicants contacted via email to schedule audition/interview

•Combined Zoom session, approximately 30 minutes

•In-person auditions available on request — contact admissions@atlantictheater.org

•Perform two contrasting contemporary monologues

•Opportunity to share your educational and artistic journey

•Be prepared to discuss why Atlantic will help achieve your artistic and career goals

Audition Expectations

•Applicants assigned a chapter from A Practical Handbook for the Actor on Practical Aesthetics

•Be prepared to discuss during interview

Decisions

•Decisions within 2-4 weeks (may take longer during peak admissions)

•Acceptance does not hold a spot — non-refundable deposit required to secure placement

Scholarship Info

Scholarship Options

•Emerging Artist Scholarship is considered automatically through the admissions process

•New Voices (domestic) and Global Perspectives (international) offer $2,000 per year and use a supplemental creative video

•You may apply for more than one Atlantic scholarship, but selected students receive only one award

2026 Timeline

•New Voices and Global Perspectives applications are open with a May 15 deadline

•Practical Aesthetics Scholarship applications for 2026 are closed; the 2027 cycle opens in September

•Faith L. Pepe Scholarship applications for 2026 are closed; the 2027 cycle opens in January

Award Levels

•Practical Aesthetics Scholarship awards full tuition for one full-time conservatory student each year

•Faith L. Pepe Scholarship awards $5,000 in year one and $5,000 in year two

•Emerging Artist Scholarship awards $3,000 in year one and $3,000 in year two for two recipients
