What's The Process

ADMISSION PROCESS

Direct admission — no separate audition required to declare dance major
Apply to ASU via standard application and indicate Dance (BFA) as intended major
Students admitted as "dance interview students" and must complete an interview/milestone in their first semester
Interview days held in November and February each year
Transfer students beginning in spring need 5 semesters due to sequential course structure

ADMISSIONS FESTIVAL

"Be a Dance Major Day" — February 27, 2026, 8am–2pm
Includes workshops in contemporary, ballet, Afro-Latin, and hip-hop; student performances; faculty meetings; campus tours
Registration opens December 1, closes February 13
