•Apply to App State via Common App or school website — no separate program application
•Declare Theatre Arts major, then audition for Performance concentration
PATHWAY
•Students may begin in General Theatre and transfer to Performance after gateway audition
•Gateway audition is an internal departmental process, not a university admission requirement
GATEWAY AUDITION
•Students must audition and interview to enter this concentration
•Audition/interview should take place before junior year
•Students first enroll at App State, then audition for the concentration internally
CONTINUING REQUIREMENTS
•Pass annual audition juries/interviews for sophomore, junior, and senior years
•Maintain minimum 2.0 GPA and B- in all performance courses
•Participate in each semester's auditions for the co-curricular season
•Complete a professional summer theatre experience before graduation

•Submit supplemental materials by November 30 for university-wide scholarship consideration
