Two contrasting pieces, fully memorized; at least one must be a hymn or sacred song

An accompanist will be provided

Sight-Reading

Be prepared to sight read and sight sing simple rhythms and melodies

Vocal Assessment

Vocalists complete a test of vocal range, vocal quality, and tonal memory

Additional Materials

Repertoire

Two contrasting pieces on your primary instrument

Scales & Technique

Know the scales and arpeggios appropriate for your instrument

Letters of Recommendation (Required)

One printed letter from a music teacher or worship leader familiar with your skills

Essay (Required)

Printed essay of no more than 500 words answering:

Why you want to attend Anderson University and the South Carolina School of the Arts

What you can contribute to the music department based on your skills and qualities

Your most important educational and career goals within the next five years and long-term goals
