Placement

Complete the AC Foundation General Scholarship Application before auditioning for scholarship consideration

The music audition includes a short theory and aural-skills placement diagnostic for course placement only, not admission

Students who do not pre-test out are enrolled in Summer MUSI 1303 Fundamentals of Music

This is a transfer pathway degree built to transfer into a four-year program. Confirm which universities it articulates to, and which credits carry over, before you enroll.

All prospective music students must schedule a faculty meeting before enrolling

The audition/meeting supports placement and music scholarship consideration; Amarillo College itself is open admission

Any instrument or voice audition is welcome

Audition Expectations

Be ready to demonstrate scales, etudes/studies, and repertoire standard for your primary instrument
