Optional audition for scholarship consideration only; it is not required for program admission.

Songs

Song Selection

Sing one solo song suitable for inclusion in a MSVMA festival

If you do not have access to an appropriate solo, sample songs are provided by the department

Singers may use their own accompanist or bring music for an Alma College accompanist

A 10-minute rehearsal time will be scheduled if using the Alma pianist

Choir Option

10-minute audition with the Director of Choral Activities (separate from scholarship)

Includes a range check, tonal memory exercises, and short sight-reading

Optional short solo of your choosing (not required)
