Talent Award
•Optional Vocal and Instrumental Performance Talent Award review is separate from admission and adjudicated by Music Department faculty
•Applicants must submit a complete Albright admission application before sending audition materials
•Talent Awards are $2,000 per year, and students may receive up to two awards
Vocal Audition
•Vocalists submit audition video links with two prepared pieces using piano or instrumental accompaniment
•Selections should contrast in style, period, and/or language and show tone quality, range, flexibility, breath control, diction, and rhythmic sense
•Classical singers should include at least one selection in English
•Streaming links may use platforms such as YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, or Vimeo
Renewal
•Award recipients must participate in Lion Records plus at least one credited major performing group
•Award recipients are expected to audition for student recitals each semester; rap/hip-hop artists may record a single through Lion Records each semester
