Theatre Scholarships
•Scholarships support talented theatre students and are awarded based on perceived ability and promise
•Candidates may be considered in acting, directing, playwriting, stage management, and costume, scenic, lighting, or sound design
•After acceptance to Albion, candidates are invited to schedule an audition or portfolio review with theatre faculty
Scholarship Process
•Scholarship auditions and portfolio review requests open October 1 of a student's senior year
•Students must audition and/or interview before receiving a scholarship decision
•Actors prepare two contrasting monologues from published plays, or one monologue and 16-32 bars of a song; total audition may not exceed four minutes
•Designers present representative design work during an interview; unrealized designs are accepted
•Stage managers interview and may share call books, reports, production photos, or video content
•Playwrights submit representative writing in advance of the faculty interview
